Summary of the Minutes of the Board of Education Planning Session

July 5 – 6, 2007

The Board of Directors of the Mason City Community School District met at 1:00 p.m. on July 5, 2007, at The Lodge in Forest City, Iowa, for a board planning session. Present were Samuel Hunt, President; Michele Appelgate, Tim Becker, Gary Hoffman, Darshini Jayawardena, Jim Spicer and Mark Young, Directors; and Keith Sersland, Superintendent of Schools.

The Board reviewed accomplishments of the past school year and held discussions on the district and board goals for the coming year. The meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m. on July 6, 2007. This was a work-study session with no action being taken.
