the Legislative Forum Meeting
The
Board of Education met in joint session with the Boards of Education of Clear
Lake Community School District,
Senator Thurman Gaskill, Senator
Amanda Ragan, Representative Mark Kuhn, and Representative Bill Schickel met with the respective Boards to discuss
legislative issues relevant to
Discussion with area legislators and the respective
Boards included the following issues:
allowable growth and school aid formula, local option sales tax, funding
for universal preschool for four-year-olds, anti-bullying legislation and
teacher quality.
Meeting
adjourned at 8:30 p.m. No action was
taken during this work/study session.
