RULES FOR RIDING THE SCHOOL BUS

  1. Obey Bus Driver instructions.
  2. Remain properly seated at all times.
  3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
  4. No profanity or excessive noise.
  5. No eating, drinking, littering or use of tobacco.

 

BUS COURTESY

  1. Be on time at the bus stop.
  2. Obey Driver’s instructions cheerfully.
  3. Remain seated: Facing the front of the bus at all times – No changing of seats.
  4. Keep arms, head and hands inside the bus.
  5. Be courteous! Use no profane language.
  6. Keep your bus clean. Use waste paper baskets.
  7. No gum, food or pop on the bus.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF STUDENTS

  1. Students shall be at their designated pick up location at the time scheduled for the bus to arrive.
  2. Students who must walk some distance along the roadway to or from the designated bus stop shall walk on the left side facing oncoming traffic.
  3. Students are to stay off the roadway at all times while waiting for the bus at the designated stop.
  4. Students who must cross a roadway when boarding or leaving a bus must go to the front of the bus and wait for a signal from the driver before crossing the road. The driver shall see that the way is clear before signaling pupils to cross. Pupils must never cross behind the bus.
  5. Students are to wait until the bus has come to a complete stop before attempting to enter or leave.
  6. Students must not at any time extend their arms or heads out of the school bus window.
  7. Students must not move from one seat to another or stand in the bus while it is in motion.
  8. Students shall conduct themselves in an acceptable manner at all times. Smoking, vulgarity, rude, abusive or other improper conduct shall not be tolerated.
  9. Students may ride only those buses to which they are assigned.
