WELCOME

Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School's web page. Jefferson Elementary is a 440 student K-5 elementary school, located in the southeast part of Mason City with a long tradition of providing a quality educational program. This tradition continues to build due to students, staff and parents working together on behalf of Jefferson. Our new building was dedicated in January of 1995.

The Jefferson staff is dedicated to teaching so that all students learn. Together with parents, we attempt to provide the best education for each and every student at Jefferson Elementary.

Jefferson Elementary has two major goals for the 2007-08 school year. They are:

1) Increase the reading achievement of all students as measured by the Iowa Tests (Reading Comprehension Subtest).

2) Nurture a safe school culture and positive environment.
