Welcome to the Madison Elementary web page!
Madison Elementary is a K-5 school with approximately 225 students. The staff of Madison is caring, professionally skilled, and personally committed to meeting the learning needs of our students. Educational and support services are available to help each young person be successful. These services include Title 1, Reading Recovery, Resource and Special Education classrooms.
Each year building goals that focus on improving student performance are developed. The 2006-07 goal for the Mason City Community School District and Madison Elementary is:
Increase the percent of students at all levels achieving one or more years of growth in reading comprehension as measured by the standard score on the Iowa Tests.
Parents are an integral part of a child’s school success. Conferences with teachers are scheduled three times during the year to develop positive relationships between school and families. Parents are also encouraged to attend Madison PTO meetings and assist with our fundraisers and activities.
Thanks for taking the time to visit the Mason City Community School District website and the Madison Elementary webpage. Also included at this site is our building newsletter, staff directory, school calendar, and school supply lists. Please feel free to call the school at 421-4413 for further information.
Sincerely,
Nancy K. K. Sweetman
