MIDDLE SCHOOL DIRECTIONS
Austin (Ellis) Middle School: From I-90 take the Highway 218 South Exit
(21st St. N.E./Exit 180). Go
south to 4th Ave. S.E.,
turn west and continue 5 blocks until the 1700 block (Ellis is on the south side).
Charles City Middle School: Charles City Middle School/ Swimming Pool - Take the first exit
off the Avenue of the Saints. Follow
that into Charles City. At the 2nd stoplight, turn left on Brantingham. Cross
the bridge. At the 2nd stoplight after the bridge, (Casey’s Store) turn left on North
Grand Avenue.
The Middle School will be on your right.
Gym and Pool entrance is on the parking lot side (B
street). Charles City High School and Football/Track Stadium - Take the
first exit off the Avenue of the Saints.
Follow that into Charles City. At the 2nd stoplight, turn left on Brantingham. Cross
the bridge. At 1st stoplight turn right
on Clark Street. Continue about 3/4 mile. Turn left on Salsbury Street (Comet Field
sign). The Stadium will be on your immediate right and the High School is
adjacent to the stadium. They share the
parking lot.
Clear Lake Middle
School: If you are traveling west on
Highway 18 toward Clear Lake, go under the interstate and go to the stop light
by Dairy Queen and turn left (south) on to 20th Street, drive by the
cemetery and high school till you get to 1st Avenue North, turn
right (west), this street runs south of the high school, when you get to the
end (t-intersection), turn right (north) on to North 16th Street,
this will take you right to the Middle School parking lot. If you are traveling west on Highway 106
toward Clear Lake, go under the interstate and go to South 20th
Street, turn right (north) on 20th Street, go 2 blocks until you reach
Main Avenue, turn left (west) on Main Avenue and go to North 16th
Street, turn right (north) on 16th Street, drive 2 blocks and you
will be in the Middle School parking lot.
Forest City Middle School:
Cross Country - Entering Forest
City from Highway 9 take a left at
the stop lights (Pizza Hut is just before the lights). Go to the next set of stop lights (Casey’s is
on the corner) turn left (east) continue to stop sign. Turn right on Golf Course
Road follow that street until you reach the stop
sign. Turn right at the stop sign and
the Golf Course is on the north.
Entering Forest City
from Highway 69 South. Turn right at
stop lights (Casey’s is on the corner) continue to stop sign. Turn right on Golf
Course Road follow that street until you reach
stop sign. Turn right at stop sign, Golf
Course is on the north. Forest City High School/Middle School – Entering
Forest City
from Highway 9 take a left at the stop lights (Pizza Hut is just before the
lights). Go to the next set of stop
lights (Casey’s is on the corner); turn right (west) which is J
Street.
Follow J Street to
the first set of four way stop signs (J Street
goes west which passes the business district, Hardees, Waldorf
College). Turn right (north) on Best
Street to Yield sign. Turn left (west) and high school/middle
school is on the end of that street.
Entering Forest City from Highway 69 South, Turn left at the stop lights
(Casey’s is on the corner) which is J Street, continue West through business
district, Hardees, Waldorf College).
Follow J Street to the
first set of four way stop signs. (J
Street goes west which passes the business
district, Hardees, Waldorf College). Turn right (north) on Best
Street to Yield sign. Turn left (west) and high school/middle
school is on the end of that street.
Hampton-Dumont Middle School: Travel south on Highway 65
and turn left (east) at 12th Ave. NE.
It is essentially the first street going east when you get into town. After you
turn on 12th Ave. NE, it is
another block and a half and it is right there on the south side of the
street. For those who are familiar with
getting to the high school, it is on the same street except you turn left
instead of turning right.
Osage Middle School: Take
the Avenue of the Saints to Blacktop T-38 and turn left (north) until you get
to Osage. The middle school/high school
is on your right as you come into town.
Volleyball and football are played at the high school
gym and field (east end of facility).
Wrestling is in the Middle School gym (west end next to T-38) and cross
country is at Sunny Brae Golf course which is (west off T-38). There is a sign about a mile south of town
telling you to turn.

Middle School: Waverly-Shell
Rock JH GYM - US HWY 218/ STATE HWY 27 S 1st Waverly exit (old
218-business)(same exit as Waverly Airport & Wartburg College) Entering
the NW
side of town & travel on (old 218) until 4- way stop &
HWY 3
Junction. (McDonalds on right.) Turn
left & travel east on HWY3/218 (Bremer Ave). Continue.
east until you come to the third stop light. (5th St. NW
& Bremer Ave.) Turn left, (traveling north) JH is located one block north
at corner of 5th St. NW & 1st Ave. NW..
The gym is on the SW side of the school. Enter the south central door entrance.
Park along the side or south of the building in gravel
parking lot. Waverly-Shell
Rock JH/HS TRACK - US HWY 218/ STATE HWY 27 S 1st Waverly Exit (old
218-business)(same exit as Waverly Airport & Wartburg College) Enter NW side of
town & travel on (old 218) until 4- way stop & HWY 3 Junction. (McDonalds on right.) Turn left & travel east on HWY3/218 (Bremer Ave).
Turn right at 16th St. SW. T-Intersection. First street on your
right turn south. (Waverly Child Care on N. side of rd.) Travel south
until you come to 4th Ave SW. Turn
left (east) & travel past HS. Park in east parking lot.
Track & FB Field located SE of the HS parking lot.
Webster City Middle School: If you enter Webster
City from new highway 20 - take the
Webster City
exit and then turn left (west) at the first set of lights. This will be Ohio
Street. After 4 or 5 long blocks at your
first stop sign you will turn right (north) onto Des
Moines Street. The Middle School is located
about 5 blocks from Ohio Street
on the west side of Des Moines Street.
