Parents and Guardians of Mason City High School Athletes:

The Mason City Community School District and Athletic/Activities Department would like to keep you informed regarding practice schedule changes, game postponements/cancellations, important announcements, or other emergency situations through the School Notification System (SNS). A year and a half ago, through the generous donations by Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa and Independent Insurance Agents of Cerro Gordo County, the district purchased the SNS from Information Services USA.

SNS is an easy to use tool that allows the district and/or the athletic/activities department to keep in touch with parents. How does it work? Visit the site http://mason-city.k12sns.com/, enter your computer e-mail, text pager, or cell phone e-mail address and select the category of alerts you wish to receive. You may subscribe to more than one e-mail and/or text pager or cell phone e-mail address, and you are not limited to selecting just one category.

When the athletic department has a postponement or cancellation for a practice or a game, you will receive an e-mail or very brief text message with the alert information. Text space is limited, so please use this system as a supplement, not a substitute, for traditional means of learning about athletic changes or cancellations.
