Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary! We are proud to be a part of the Mason City Community School District's web site.

Roosevelt Elementary is a K-5 school with approximately 500 students. The staff at Roosevelt is dedicated to teaching so that all students learn. Learning activities are designed to promote academic, social, and personal growth in students.

Building goals are developed which focus on improving student performance. Teachers are committed to implementing activities related to each goal. Goals for Roosevelt School for the 2009/2010 school year are:

• increase reading achievement of students
  
• increase math achievement of students
• increase appropriate and effective student interactions within the school community
  

Parental involvement is encouraged at Roosevelt. Parents participate in the Parent Teacher Organization. This group provides enormous support for the school program by raising money for computers, school equipment, and volunteering to help with events. Working together with parents, the staff can provide the best education for each and every student at Roosevelt.
