If you are having problems getting your iPAQ to sync. Try the following until you are successful.
Reconnect the iPAQ.
- Remove the iPAQq from the cradle.
- Reseat the iPAQ in the cradle
- This may take several tries.
Soft reset the ipaq.
- On the bottom of the ipaq there is a small hole on the right hand side.
- You can insert the stylus into this hole. That will reset your ipaq.
- Then cradle the ipaq.
Delete and create an ActiveSync partnership.
- Make sure iPAQ is not in the cradle.
- Start ActiveSync.
- Choose File -> delete partnership.
- Answer yes to confirm the deletion of the partnership.
- Answer no at the prompt to delete the synchronized files folder.
- Cradle the iPAQ.
- ActiveSync should see the iPAQ and ask if you want to setup a partnership.
- Select Standard Partnership and click Next.
- If prompted to specify how to synchronize data, select Synchronize with this desktop computer and click Next.
- At the Select Number of Parhnerships prompt, select I want to synchronize with only this computer and click next.
- At the Select Synchronization settings prompt select the items you want to synchronize. I suggest the following:
(Selected items have a checkmark in the box.)
- Calendar
- Contacts
- Files - selecting this causes a prompt stating a synchronized files folder will be created - select OK
- Inbox
- Notes
- Tasks
- Select Next
- Select Finish
- Your iPAQ should now synchronize.
If all else fails - contact tech support.
